The Delta Chi Fraternity
General Letter to all Chapter/Colony "C"s - January 2012
Greetings!

Through the years, many "C"s have performed their jobs efficiently and saved their chapters hundreds of dollars in potential fines or assessments, while others have cost their chapters unnecessary fines due to simple negligence. To ensure that you do the best job possible, please read and comply with the "C" Reference Sheet. Also important is the "No One Ever Told Me" reference sheet.

The Spring Membership List, a listing of the undergraduate members of your chapter/colony as they appear in our records. Spring Membership Lists will be available on the website after January 20, 2012. To access this you will need to login under "Chapter Management" and enter your user name and password. If you do not have the sign on information you will need to contact Headquarters. Some chapter "C"s will find that members recently initiated are not on the membership list. Please enter the names of those who are not on the list on the third part of the form "Missing Initiates," and be sure to include the date of initiation! Also, if a member is a transfer from another chapter, be certain to write in the name of the chapter from which he transferred. If you have any questions, please call us.

This list is extremely important! It is the only way we have of keeping our records current and is used as a basis for the chapter's spring membership assessment and to help determine the number of men the chapter will be billed next fall for liability insurance. Failure to submit the form or to complete it accurately may cause your chapter to be billed for more men than it should. Also, please note that failing to include a members' name eliminates that individual from insurance coverage, so accuracy is essential. Since Delta Chi must report the numbers to the insurance carrier in late spring to receive a rate quotation, no adjustments can be made in the fall to correct errors.

In order to assist you in best fulfilling your role as "C", please refer to the resources on your right, especially the last link, which takes you to all of our online resources for your position.

Fraternally,
